Protection when Doing Tarot Card Readings
In the psychic world the most popular form of divination is that of the tarot cards. It is important when doing tarot cards to make sure that you have taken the precautions to make sure that you are protected. The tarot cards as themselves do not hold any power known as energy, the energy comes from the reader themselves. The reason for protection is that when a psychic readers dealing with things in the spiritual realm, there’s always the chance that they could attract negative type energy. With the use of protection psychic readers can always guarantee that they will always be surrounded by white light.
Here are some of the techniques that you can use to make sure that you follow a proper form of protection;
1.before you do a tarot reading make sure that you meditate with your cards.
2.when you’re setting up to do a tarot card reading make sure that you focus and visualize a white light surrounding you. Speak out and ask that you are surrounded by white light and golden light. This in essence will protect you from bad spirits and only attract the spirits you’d want to you evoke.
3.make sure that you have lit a white candle as the color white is affiliated with healing and protection. When you’re doing this use the candle and the brightness of the flame to visualize that you are being protected.
4.this one to many is very important as most psychic readers will tell you to never let anyone else touch your tarot cards. The reason for this is that when you someone else uses your tarot cards and their energy is transposed onto your deck. Meaning that it’s not just your energy now that has been in contact with your tarot deck, but somebody else as well.
5.most psychic readers will tell you that the physical care of your tarot cards are essential. Most readers will wrap their tarot cards up in a silk scarf or cloth or place them in a box or a pouch and place them in a very safe area. Not only for reasons of privacy but this will also make sure that nobody else can touch your tarot cards.
6.is also noted that quartz crystals can be used as an effective receptacle to bring the negative energy surrounding you inside of it inside of it. As for the size of a crystal itself, that would be up to you. Whether the crystal itself is minuscule enough to fit in your hand or take up your whole table that is up to your own discretion. Do note that in the spiritual realm unpolished and rough crystals will be more beneficial to you as it is closer to being part of the earth then polished and refined crystals.

Is it me or does this seem a bit..sterile? Not letting others touch your cards, taking utmost care of their cleanliness, I understand what the point of these are and why they may be needed but this seems more distancing from the cards. Cards should naturally wear over time as you use them and become more comfortable with them, and the person whom you are reading for should have a connection with them too.
