Jupiter Retrograde in your Natal Chart

Jupiter Retrograde

Jupiter Retrograde – As one born under Jupiter in retrograde motion, it doesn’t necessarily mean that one doesn’t win at anything! On the contrary, there are very lucky people born under this effect. But what it really implies is that the native regards fate as fickle and has long resigned to the notion that it is ultimately up to the individual to create his own luck.

Many born under this influence seem to experience more mixed blessings than luck – just when you get a lucky break and become hyped up with excitement that life is finally taking you somewhere, the cosmos interfere and everything seems to come to a standstill. It looks as though the cosmos are playing a practical joke on you. In reality, Jupiter is forcing you to question whether you’re really worthy when there is a crisis around faith. There is a very thin line between belief and faith and more often than not, what you believe in manifests itself as reality eventually.

Jupiter Retrograde in Transit

Jupiter goes retrograde for about 4 months every 13 months. During this transitory period, seemingly lucky breaks seem to come to a halt or harder to come by. It is a time when one questions the beliefs, values that society and organizations impose upon us and not take everything at face value.

On a personal level, people are more inclined to turn inward for answers instead as this period favors personal development and inner growth in preparation for opportunities that occur when Jupiter turns direct. It is not a favorable time for speculations, investments or gambling as winning the odds may prove to be an uphill task.

In a Forecasted Chart
While Jupiter is in retrograde, things can seem to come to a stop or not progressing as you would like them to. Also, things that are in your life that you don’t necessarily need, will find their way out of your life. While Jupiter is in retrograde, look for what house it’s in or any planets that make strong aspects to Jupiter for what might be coming out of your life. This is a good time to review your life and take a deeper look at where you need to improve.

In a Natal Chart
Most people assume retrograde planets are negative, however, if you were born with Jupiter in retrograde, this is a favorable position. People born under Jupiter in retrograde will keep trying to succeed at things even if they have failed at them in the past. This often results in success that others would not have had. You’re definitely going to march to the beat of your own drum and seek the answers to life’s questions yourself, and not just take the answers from others.

Who’s Affected More
With Jupiter as their ruler, Sagittarians and Pisceans are going to feel the effects of Jupiter retrograde more than others. Pisceans are already in the illusionary world for the most part of the time, and let’s admit it, Pisceans are also used to being a little clumsy, so things not progressing as they would normally won’t have as much of an effect on them as it would Sagittarians.

Jupiter turns retrograde about once a year for a period of 120 days and remains stationary for about 10 days.
