Uranus in the Houses of the Natal Chart
Uranus in 1st house
Radical definitions of your relationships are now eminent. Your old ways may not be accepted by others now. You feel change…but do not quite know what to expect. Clear your thought process at this period in your life and be receptive to new ideas. You need to consider all changes for the better now.
Uranus in 2nd house
What a time to be involved with intellectual encounters! In this era of your life you can really get involved with electrifying your inner energies…such as technology or astrology. Ultimately this transit is positive.
Uranus in 3rd house
Change is now highlighted with relatives and family. This time can be exiting as you will experience mental attitude changes as never before. Your communications will increase and you will want to feel secure..although it may not be easy to do that. This is the time to be open and responsive and flow thru this period with a good attitude.
Uranus in 4th house
Changes in the home are coming! You may want to change your residence at this period of time or you may want to get involed with realestate. Even tho you may be a permanent resident where you are there will still be unexpected things happening..like maybe new neighbors moving next door. You could be surprised as they may turn out to be who you would not expect. You may be forced to deal with things personal that you didn’t expect. Remember that Uranus is un-expected events..so prepare to handle them.
Uranus in 5th house
This period can be very exiting! This is the house of chance and speculation so the Uranian influence here will be stimulating. You could have a very unusual relationship with someone during this period. This is also the house of love affairs. This is one of the best house positions for Uranus!
Uranus in 6th house
A whole new attitude will come out of this house. Your last house, the 5th, will carry over to this house in a way that you may have established a new kind of relationship or established yourself a new attitude.Sometimes tension is caused here..however just be aware of it and handle it.
Uranus in 7th house
Any relationship, partnership etc. could be under stress now..even may fall apart. If you are secure in your relationship with a good aspect relationship horoscope to begin with, it won’t happen…so don’t worry. No matter what, at some point in your life Uranus needs to transit this house depending on how long you live and where Uranus was to begin with in your birth-natal chart. Another aspect for this house that this is the house for enemies too. You must not let things happen that may offend you now. You need to be aware of this just so you know the possibilities, that’s all!
Uranus in 8th house
Even tho this is the house of legacies..death included..it doesn’t mean “death”. It can stand for death of an idea, or a way of thinking..in other words: “Out with the old and in with the “new”. How it affects you is sometimes uncontrollable and frightning. But don’t worry at all. You could even receive an inheritance with Uranus in this house..(Also with Jupiter here too).
Uranus in 9th house
Awareness is the key meaning in this house. This is the house of law and spirituality. You can receive new spiritual insights that electrify you…and stimulate your interest in that kind of subject. Very unusual and quick long distance travel can come along for you now. You may take that “big” vacation you always dreamed of! And it just could come on the spur of the moment! Social wise, you might be into unacceptable things…that is what others may not like. So be socially aware and don’t try to be too pushy now.
Uranus in 10th house
Watch out for conflict with authority at this period in your life. Also you can obtain sudden opportunity with this transit. This is also a time for self-examination; if you have a career or otherwise. Don’t use your power or authority to try to achieve success. It can also cause a decline.
Uranus in 11th house
New lifestyles are possible now. You may change for the better..and all at once! New social attitudes are possible..things that you thought you would never accept! New freedom thru group activities is most likely.
Uranus in 12th house
Your unconscious and subjective mind is involved here..in this house. Consequently you may have to deal with inner soul searching now during this transit. The benefit is, is that when you progress onto the 1st house again, you will be more experienced and wiser if you allow yourself to get thru this house with-out confining yourself to inner unacceptance of yourself.
Uranus in 1st House: The presence of Uranus here will powerfully affect the characteristics of the Ascendant sign. This individual will be fiercely independent and original, with more than a dash of brilliance shown through the potential of the Ascendant sign. Perverse and unpredictable, this person can also be their own worst enemy, and is bound to suffer from nervous tension.
Uranus in 2nd House: With this placing, the subject’s attitude towards money will be more than a little ‘zany’. Often this person is too clever by half, financially speaking, and financial problems will be firmly his or her fault. However, if earth signs are prominent in the chart, this could be an excellent placing, with brilliant financial flair and clever investments. Uranus here works badly if negatively aspected by Venus or the Moon – in this case, Uranian independence will be spiced with an unusual amount of possessiveness – not a pleasant combination for an unsuspecting romantic partner.
Uranus in 3rd House: This placing adds brilliance and originality to the mind, although this person does not take well to discipline. With children and this placing, it is vital that parents don’t misinterpret a mind that bores easily as a mind that is lazy – this person needs plenty of mental stimulation from a very early age. If Uranus is positively aspected, the mind will be very cool and logical, but if negatively aspected the stubbornness and wilfulness typical of this planet will be ver evident. With children again, the best way to persuade this person to do something is to ask them to do the opposite!
Uranus in 4th House: Moody and unpredictable, the person with this placing nonetheless has tremendous intuitive powers. An inner conflict may exist between the love of the home and an equal desire to live freely, without domestic responsibilities. There may also have been a disruptive or unusual (not necessarily negatively so) domestic background in this person’s upbringing.
Uranus in 5th House: Uranus is well placed here. It encourages creative potential and adds originality and brilliance to the end product. There will be a lively and positive attitude towards love affairs, and a fearlessness in the face of risks. Children with this placing may well be exhausting for their parents, being into everything and with too many hobbies and interests to count – but parental effort will pay dividends as they grow up.
Uranus in 6th House: The subject with this placing is intellectual and innovative, but their health may not be especially strong – this person is often laid low by a minor infection, or may just permanently feel ‘out of sorts’. The real reasons for this ill health are often nervous tension, over-worry and an inability to relax. The attitude towards routine work is complex – the 6th house needs and likes a steady routine, but Uranus, of course, neither needs one nor wants one. This influence is disruptive, often causing the individual to quickly become impatient with many tasks, even against their better judgement.
Uranus in 7th House: This is an important placing for Uranus, and it has a strong influence on how this subject relates to other people, and a romantic partner in particular. This person will be rather reluctant to commit to a long term relationship, valuing their freedom above all else. Depending upon the sign which rules the 7th house this could be a severe source of conflict – if, for instance, that sign is Libra, Pisces or another such sign which longs for a stable partnership. The positions of the Ascendant, Sun and Moon must be judged together with this Uranus position in order to get to the bottom of what is bound to be a complex situation.
Uranus in 8th House: This placing bestows a ‘couldn’t-care-less’ attitude towards money and wealth – if the individual has it, then fine, but if not, who cares? Again, this can have implications depending upon the sign on the cusp of this house, and of the 2nd house and very possibly conflict between this position and the need for financial security will ensue. The 8th house being a complicated one, this placing also has implications for this person’s sexual attitude, which may be rather ‘different’ (!) at best, and at worse could require professional counselling or help.
Uranus in 9th House: Uranus is in a lively and slightly wicked mood in this house. Considerably intellectual, this person also has a constant need for excitement and new experiences. Lateral thinking skills are strong, and mental and physical travel are very important to this individual. Tradition suggests that the unexpected happens when this person is abroad. More down to earth, there is often a dynamic or magnetic attraction to foreign places, cultures and people, and in any case, a very open and tolerant mind.
Uranus in 10th House: This influence is considerably increased if Uranus forms a conjunction with the Midheaven. In any case, the chosen profession is likely to be influenced by Uranus, with possible choices including airlines, the space industry, science, astronomy or astrology, the humanitarian and caring professions. Sudden changes of career direction are very possible, often throwing the baby out with the bathwater. An involvement in or fascination with politics is also associated with this placing.
Uranus in 11th House: Uranus is very much at home in the 11th house, because this is also the natural Aquarius house, of which Uranus is the ruler. It’s influence is therefore strengthened from this house. This individual can be extremely friendly, but at the same time aloof and private. The social life is often more important that either the profession or the family. However, Uranus is at its unpredictable best or worst here, and friendships and affiliations are broken off at a whim, only to be resumed later with no apology or explanation. Sometimes, this person is disruptive deliberately, for effect or for attention.
Uranus in 12th House: This is a surprisingly interesting placing for Uranus. It’s humanitarian instincts work well from this house, and the 12th house’s instinctive urge to be of help blends seamlessly well with the Uranian cool, detached influence to give a person who is a great help in a crisis, and a tireless charity worker – but who is also able to avoid becoming emotionally entangled in other people’s problems. Sometimes, however, this person puts ‘mankind’ ahead of his or her own personal relationships, either deliberately or unconsciously, and this can cause problems within the family.
